Family Worship Sundays at 9 AM engages all the generations in meaningful, participatory worship. This lively service invites active participation from children, youth, and adults at age-appropriate levels. Parents rave about our "pray-ground," where young children can wiggle, color, and more: right up front so that the whole family can participate in worship.
Small Groups for Parents of Young Children provide support and connection in a comfortable environment.
Special Events like the Easter Egg Hunt, Advent Celebration, Vacation Bible School, and other family activities help children and parents connect with God while developing relationships with others.
The
CCE Preschool
provides a nurturing, developmentally appropriate Christian environment for children as they become independent, lifelong learners.
Sunday Night Youth Group for 6th-12th graders helps students grow through worship, fellowship, and fun. It meets most Sundays 5-6:30 PM.
Mission ministries foster care for neighbors and our community, helping students use their gifts of service to better the world.
Fun outings and fellowship gatherings offer a safe space for youth to connect and find joy.

The Rev. Ken Malcolm is our Rector
Ken is a compassionate, visionary leader and is particularly gifted in preaching, faith formation, and helping our community use their gifts and talents in service to God. A seasoned educator, he enjoys leading spiritual formation and growth opportunities for all ages.
He has served parishes and dioceses in Texas, Colorado, and as Program Director for the Diocese of Virginia. We welcomed Ken as our rector in October 2023. “I am humbled and honored to be called to serve Christ Church. The future for CCE is very bright!" You are invited to join Father Ken for faith formation groups throughout the year.
FAITH FORMATION FOR FAMILIES
As Minister to Families, Adam Williams, serves children, youth, and parents, planning meaningful discipleship programming and helps leading our Family Worship Service. Adam says his favorite part of working at Christ Church is helping families make lasting connections that go beyond the four walls of the church. He earned a Master of Divinity from Union Presbyterian Seminary (2012) and is a licensed Preacher and Worship Leader in the Diocese of Virginia.
